Mexican court lays down the law

Yahoo! has found itself £1.68bn out of pocket thanks to a Mexican court ruling relating to a lawsuit containing allegations of breach of contract and lost profits in a yellow pages listing service case.

The lawsuit was brought to task by Worldwide Directories SA de CV and Ideas Interactivas SA de CV and the news led to the company’s shares falling by 1.4%. Ouch.

Unsurprisingly, this one’s going to appeal.
